Low Key Day
Got a lazy start this morning and made it to the Jurong Bird Park after two different trains, a bus and a 10 min walk. Nice thing was it took only about 48 minutes and no rain. Not much more to say that the pictures won't.

The Sun came out
Today when we got up there was blue sky and sun reflecting off the pool. The Arnolds told us if it was sunny in the morning we should get going and head out because a weather change was due to arrive at some point.
We loaded our bags and headed for "Little India" and "Arab Street".
First stop for Kelly and Grant was the Henna shop. Here is the during,

Drying and Itchy phase,
And the end results.
Mark was dying for some Indian food and we found a great place. Who can ever pass up naan?
After lunch we visited many cool shops and more fabric and rug stores than I have ever seen. Wish some of these rug shops were in South Korea.
We ended our day of sun, and no rain, in the pool.
Looks like we are in store for a bit of rain tomorrow. Have our fingers crossed but apparently it is the rainy season here.

Umbrellas??? Not today
Today we headed for the Singapore zoo. We made it all day without having to take out our umbrellas. Yeah!!! The day didn't just stop there with the excitement because Kelly got to ride an elephant. Well we all did, but Kelly was the one who really wanted to.
Elephant statues are all over Singapore as part of the "Elephant Parade". Many artists have decorated some 125 elephants that will be auctioned off to support Asian elephant conservation efforts.
This was the elephant we rode.

Singapore
We landed in Singapore only 45 minutes behind schedule. As we were making our approach it looked to be a tad wet outside. Once we arrived at the terminal it was confirmed, by all the umbrellas and the sheets of water flowing off the plane, that it was raining. Here is Kelly preparing to disembark.
At the bottom of the stairs from the plane they were handing out umbrellas. Got our bags no problem, however they were a bit wet, and headed for the cab. As soon as we stepped outside we got the full force of the welcoming weather. At least it was warm.
Cabbie did a great job getting us to the Arnold's and we arrived safely. Dropped our bags, grabbed some dinner from a great chicken and rice place and off to bed.
It's Monday morning and we are excited for our time her in Singapore. Here was our view off the Arnold's balcony this morning about 7:30am. Grant said he was ready to hit the pool.
Mom and Dad both said, "coffee first".

Off to Singapore
It's 6:59 am and we are on our plane (Cebu Pacific Airlines) and ready for the 7:30 departure to Singapore. It's 27 degrees here and a nice humid 80 there. Updates to come. Safe travels to all who travel this holiday season.

Early Christmas
Santa sent Grant a message Friday that said due to flight plans and the elves packing error he was worried he might not be able to find us in Singapore Christmas Eve. He offered to make a deal with Grant that if he promised to remain on the nice list he would try and make it to Songdo during his test flight of the sleigh upgrades last night. Low and behold Santa arrived with items from Grants list.
Here is an early Merry Christmas to all of our friends and family who we wish we could be sharing this time of year with. We will be thinking of you all from a very warm and sunny (hopefully not thunder shower) Singapore on Christmas Day.
