Amusement park

We are off to Ocean Park amusement park today. It's suppose to be way better than Hong Kong Disneyland.

Grant's electronic poster

Check this out.
Grant's Korean class had to make an electronic poster where they attached a QR code that is scanned and takes you to the audio file. If you have a scanner give this a try.

If you don't here is the link. http://vimeo.com/49803967

Chusok Trip

Just over 24 hours now and we will be heading for Hong Kong. Last year we spent the Chusok Holiday in Korea, this year we thought we'd try something new. I know you are all thinking you we just got bak from Bali. You are right, about six weeks ago.

Damn, another phone

It is a huge bummer that the "Find Your Phone" feature with Apple iOS6, or any version, doesn't work in South Korea. If it did maybe I'd be able to find my iPhone that some how got left in a cab early this morning. Thank god I didn't take the iPad with me. I'd have lost it too.

Got our Shots

There's nothing like spending a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the doctors office....but here in Korea, you're in and out in under 15 minutes.

Today was "flu shot" day for staff members. The resident pediatrician (only Songdo doc that speaks English) was kind enough to open all weekend just for Chadwick staff so we could all be healthy for the season. We are now immunized...Korea style!

What's this...? No fancy band aid with Asian cartoon characters for G? Oh no...kids get their flu shot in a nose spray. My delicate arm had to get a poke, but Grant got away needle free. Dang it.

Where's my sucker???

Tooth

G lost another tooth yesterday, that's two in the last couple of weeks. The tooth fairy didn't make it last night because of the typhoon, she got stuck in Japan. So G wanted to make sure she didn't miss him tonight.

Cooking up a storm

With typhoon Sanba approaching I thought I'd do some cooking. So I attempted my first lasagna.

Good start.

Ready for oven.

Not sure it would fit.

My helper.

Success.
Plenty of leftovers to weather, no pun intended, the typhoon coming tomorrow.

Not something you see every day

Last night a group of protesters, young and old, marched through our apartment complex with signs and chants in Korean.

Turns out they are upset about a garbage treatment facility being proposed 1km from where we live.
