An update - another stamp in the passports

If you haven't already heard we have a bit of an update.  As of June 14th school will be done here at Chadwick International.  We will have a couple of days to wrap things up and then we fly out of S Korea heading for Portland Oregon on Sunday June 16th.  We will have a fun packed six weeks of summer, my 40th being the start of it on Tuesday the 18th, and then the new adventure begins.

On Sunday July 28th we board a plane headed for Shanghai China.  We will land on Monday the 29th and begin our new adventure on July 30th at Shanghai American School.

Kelly and I attended a job fair in Bangkok Thailand in early January and looked into many different schools.  SAS turned out to be the perfect fit.  It is a school of approx. 3600 students with nationalities from all over the world.  There are two separate campuses, one in Puxi, and one in Pudong.

Kelly will be working in the lower elementary school at the Pudong campus, where Grant will be attending 5th grade and I will be working for both campuses as the Safety & Security Manager.

We are very excited for this new opportunity and thrilled we have both secured jobs that are a perfect for us.  Grant will have many opportunities in Shanghai including a fantastic swim team and climbing wall.

As always you are all welcome to come visit us anytime, our door is always be open.

There will be updates coming soon about our trip to Portland and more specifics on Shanghai as we get them.  Until then we can't wait to see everyone starting June 16th.

On the wall

As I was walking through the kindergarten hallway today I spotted a handsome chap, Watson was on the wall. We did a presentation a couple of weeks ago and it looks like we made a good impression. I think some of the little Korean kids will be missing Watson when he moves to China.

Down by the river

Made it to the Piagol Danpung park this morning and are all set up waiting for the ninth graders to arrive after two days of hiking. G and I decided to head down and hang out in the river. It was nice to cool of a bit.

But then he did well hiking for two hours

After a long day we made it to our base camp hotel
