Heading to the Philippines
Grant is taking part in a Middle School elective called SAS caring for Coral. The students have been attending classroom sessions twice a week since school returned in January. The focus of the class is coral conservation. There are 5 Scuba divers and 22 snorkels. As the final part of the class students have to do open water coral reef grading and put the data in the coral watch data base.
On Thursday, myself and five other adults, will be taking the students to Anilao Philippines for four days of open water research. Here is the blog that we will be posting daily photos on if you would like to register or follow along.
And yes, Kelly has a three day weekend all to her self. If you need here I'm sure she can be reached at 1-800-Spa-Days

Nice day
Thailand was great, back in Shanghai now.
And what great weather to welcome us back.
A quick scooter ride to the store for dinner.

A good day diving
Grant and I took advantage of a nice day and went out for dive number two of the Koh Samed trip 2015.
A short ride on the well maintained (hahahaha) Samed Scuba inflatable took us out to Ao Prao Bay dive site. We rolled off the side and saw some neat marine life, even in the 3-5 meter visibility water below. Our two dives here are great preparation for our up coming trip to the Philippines April 2-6 where we will get at least six dives in.
Below is a run down of the dive.

Beach and quiet
After a great couple of days in Bangkok with our friends the Sharps, and a surprise visit from the Fosters, we are now on a quiet beach on the island of Koh Samet.
These two were excited to be back on the water. Just a 15 min boat ride across from Ban Phe
Feet up relaxing from our little room on the beach.
It was great to sleep with the sounds of the waves.

Off to Thailand
We are in Bangkok for the next couple days visiting our friends the Sharps. Headed to Jason Mraz concert in an hour, very excited. Monday we are off to the island of Koh Samet for sun, beach and diving until Saturday. Guess it could be worse.
Gotta love airports.
Fun at the pool with friends.

Mr Science
A few photos from Grant's science class. I'm sure he got the pyro thing from me. This is the safe lighting procedure in 6th grade science labs.
