Elephants and Merlions

Today was Christmas eve day and we planned for low key. As I mentioned earlier the Elephant Parade (www.elephantparade.com) is in Singapore and we were hoping to find a few of the replica figures to take home with us.
Grant and I picked these two,





But we were pretty sure the excess baggage charge was going to be pretty steep. So we decided these three could make the trip back to Korea with us much easier.


After that we headed out to find the icon of Singapore, the Merlion.











The water reminded me a bit of the Willamette.
After visiting the old Merlion we stopped off at the Fullerton Hotel for a nice lunch. They are famous for their chocolate fountain dessert. Mmmm, Mmmm good.
